The evidence question
Can documented and inbox firmware surfaces identify a supported, reversible BIOS or firmware change that improves startup on the exact lab ZBook without installing firmware, rebooting, or weakening security and recovery?
No. The inventory identifies the current components, but there is no firmware-time measurement and the access-controlled BIOS setting instances were not available to this non-elevated unattended run.

The HP BIOS and Windows firmware-device versions are consistent. That is useful configuration evidence, not proof that the installed firmware is current, faster, or the cause of a startup delay.
The supported management surface was visible, not readable
HP's root\HP\InstrumentedBIOS namespace was present with classes for enumeration settings, integers, ordered lists, setting methods, and sensors. HP documents those classes as exposing setting names, current and possible values, read-only state, prerequisites, physical-presence requirements, and boot-order elements.
Reading the setting instances returned access denied. The unattended run did not elevate, so it did not invent a Fast Boot setting, copy a setting name from another HP model, or assume an allowed value.
Microsoft's Confirm-SecureBootUEFI check also returned its documented non-administrator access-denied result. That result does not reveal whether Secure Boot is enabled; the state remains unknown.
Update, dependency, and rollback boundaries
Microsoft supports OEM firmware packages through the Windows UEFI UpdateCapsule platform. A firmware device in Device Manager does not prove that a newer package is available or appropriate.
HP requires a model-compatible package, external power, and compatibility with the management environment. Package identity and release notes for the observed T76 01.24.02 version were not independently verified in this run.
Rollback cannot be promised. HP published a previous T76-family BIOS release for the ZBook Firefly G8 family that did not permit downgrade after successful installation. HP also documents model-dependent recovery, including different behavior on HP Sure Start systems. Recovery from corruption is not the same as exact downgrade.
Any future firmware experiment must first record exact package applicability, signature, model and board support, prerequisites, BitLocker recovery readiness, management approval, power state, supported recovery, downgrade rules, and post-reboot verification.
