This forum exists for one narrow subject: making HP workstations behave the way their specifications suggest they should. Z towers, ZBook mobile workstations, EliteBook and ProBook notebooks.
It is deliberately unglamorous. Dense tables, long threads, exact build numbers, and rollback instructions. If you want a settings list to paste into a machine you have never measured, this is the wrong place.
Every claim on this forum carries a label so you know what kind of statement you are reading:
- Documented fact — stated in HP, Microsoft, Intel, AMD or NVIDIA documentation. A source is expected.
- Measured result — produced by a stated procedure on stated hardware, with the run count and conditions attached.
- Hypothesis — a plausible mechanism that nobody here has tested yet. Explicitly unproven.
- User observation — what one person saw on one machine. Useful as a lead, not as evidence.
A measured result without a run count, a control condition and a hardware description is a user observation wearing a lab coat. It will be relabelled.
