A power plan is a named collection of individual power settings, most of which are not visible in the standard interface. Switching plans changes dozens of values at once, which is why "I switched to high performance and it felt faster" is not a useful report.

If you report a result, report the effective processor power management values, not the plan name. Two machines on identically named plans routinely have different effective settings.
