A self-managed machine had accumulated enrollment state from an evaluation that was never completed. The registration remained, along with the scheduled work that services it, on a device with no management authority to talk to.

If your device is genuinely managed by an employer, none of this applies to you and attempting it is likely to breach policy as well as break things.
