Running an AI service for other computers on my network WHAT TO CHECK FOR EACH MODEL For every model you seriously recommend, give me: - the exact model name and version - the exact file, checkpoint, or quantization to download - the official download link - the license and whether business use is allowed - the best local app or runner for my operating system - the memory it needs in real use - the storage it needs - a useful context size, image size, or video size for my machine - settings that fit my hardware - expected speed, clearly marked as measured or estimated - what it does well - what it does poorly - any security risk from custom code or third-party add-ons When I ask about open, uncensored, or jailbroken models for lawful research, include them in the same technical review. Explain the model's license, source, privacy, and known risks. Do not confuse a hosted chat service's rules with what an open-weight model can do on my own computer. FIT RULES Put each option in one of these groups: - Runs well: useful speed and quality without constant errors or heavy swapping - Runs with limits: works only with smaller files, lower quality, quantization, offload, or a long wait - Not a good fit: may launch, but is too slow, too large, unstable, or weak for useful work on this computer Do not call a model a good fit just because it can start. It must finish useful work with settings I can repeat. COMPARE BEFORE YOU CHOOSE For each job, compare at least three current choices when three real choices exist. Prefer the smallest model that reaches useful quality. Do not recommend an old version when a newer stable version is a better fit. If you estimate performance from another GPU or computer, show the source machine and explain why the estimate may be wrong. GIVE ME THIS REPORT Use simple language and this order: 1. My computer in plain words — its strong points and hard limits. 2. Best uses right now — the five local AI jobs that fit it best. 3. Best model for each use — exact version, file, runner, settings, and link. 4. What also works — good second choices. 5. What to skip — models that are a poor fit and why. 6. First setup plan — the shortest safe install path for the best use case. 7. One test — a repeatable test that proves the setup works. 8.
